Dr. Lamont Ali Francies was born and raised in San Francisco, California (Bayview/Hunter’s Point Community). He is the Senior Minister of the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch, California. He is an adjunct professor of Sociology at Brandman University. He also works an administrator of African American Student Achievement for the Mount Diablo Unified School District. Dr. Francies also does equity work district wide and is a sought after speaker, conducting workshops for numerous educational institutions. Dr. Francies has been invited to speak nationwide at conferences dealing with African American Student Achievement. He has also authored several articles that deal with the the Black faith tradition and a critique of Multiculturalism. Dr. Francies is also the president of the Mt. Diablo Black Educators Association and remains an unapologetic advocate for Black students and families. Dr. Francies holds a Masters of Arts in both Sociology & Counseling. He also holds a pupil personnel credential in counseling and a doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco in International & Multicultural Education. Dr. Francies currently lives in the Bay Area with his wife Tiffany and their five children. Recently, Dr. Francies was on our show talking about Black Male Teachers In K – 12 Schools.
