You've been listening to the track "Fireflies and Starlight", released under the name Chillout Preservation Collective.

 

It was recorded, edited, and produced by me, Mark Rushton, and is available at Pond5 for stock music licensing. 

 

Fireflies and Starlight started off as ambient, but over time I added that constant downtempo beat and a variety of other synth sounds on top.  This is the short version.  There's also a 20 minute version out on the streaming services.

 

Is there a use for this kind of music out there?  Maybe as a background on a podcast?  Perhaps drone flight video?  I don't know, but
