The legendary Albert Beckles is the guest this week on the Bodybuilding Legends Podcast. Albert talks about his extraordinary career in bodybuilding which spanned from the 1960's to the 1990's. Albert began training as a young man living in Barbados before relocating to England in his early 20's. He won the Mr. Britain and competed in the NABBA Mr. Universe before winning the IFBB Mr. Universe and the AAU Mr. World in 1971. Albert began competing in the Mr. Olympia in 1975 and became one of the most successful pro bodybuilders in the 1980's, winning the Night of the Champions in 1982 and 1985 and placing 2nd to Lee Haney at the 1985 Mr. Olympia. He won the 1991 Niagara Falls Pro Show at the age of 54, beating out bodybuilders half his age. At the end of the podcast, host John Hansen reads an article from the July, 1984 issue of IronMan Magazine called "World Professional Championships" written by Garry Bartlett about the 1984 IFBB World Pro Championships won by Albert Beckles.
