Unimaginable Wellness For New Moms Who Are Founders, Entrepreneurs, Creators

Nov 15, 2022

If there’s one thing busy moms have in common, it would be that there are so many things to do with so little time. Most of us don’t have a few hours a day that we can spend on self-care. Many moms are knowledgeable about the fundamentals of their careers, but then the idea of wellness always takes a backseat. It’s time that we rethink the things that are really important to us as we work our way toward success.

And so, I wanted to bring Dr. Jonathan Glass today to help us uncover some Ayurvedic and self-care practices that time-poor moms can incorporate into their daily, weekly, or monthly routine. Self-care is a necessity, it’s not a privilege, so make it a non-negotiable part of your everyday life.

Jonathan Glass, M.Ac, is the founder and author of the Total Life Cleanse. He is a Naturopathic Doctor, Master Acupuncturist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, energy healer, herbalist, and Natural Health Educator. Jonathan served on the faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture and the Dharma Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda. He has facilitated thousands through his JivAtma Energy Healing and Total Life Cleanse programs. Jonathan has been in private practice since 1987 when he co-founded the Healing Essence Center with his wife Katherine, in Concord, Massachusetts.

Hopefully, this episode will inspire you to develop these self-care practices. You don’t have to overwhelm yourself and do them all at once. Slowly incorporate these practices until they turn into habits.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • How is Ayurveda within your reach as a busy mom without three hours for self-care
  • Writers put out a lot of energy – so how can you refill your cup?
  • How to prevent burnout and be present for your work, life, and that of your kids
  • The case for teaching your kids that mommy’s self-care is sacred
  • A super practical technique to calm your nervous system and feel more adaptive
  • Why cleaning up your diet today is even more important than it was for prior generations
  • How to not offend your own knowledge about the food/habits that heal or hurt your body
  • Why interrupting stress once a day, weekly, or quarterly is a good thing
  • The importance of moving the body and breathing
  • The key to a long, sustainable writing career is self-care
  • What is spiritual, mental, and emotional hygiene?
  • Ways to lower your standard for perfect self-care including meditating

This book is about getting in touch with your creative, playful, imaginative side. The part of yourself that perhaps felt freer before you became a parent before you chose your identity and had a lot of responsibilities weighing you down. In helping you get in touch with your more playful, creative self, it not only helps you on a path toward greater happiness and fulfillment, but it also helps you to feel more fulfilled as a parent. - Mom/Librarian

The words: imagination, play, and fun are not the usual things we as mothers think of when wondering how to get a grip back on our career and I believe it provides a really fresh take and lots of food for thought for mothers reading it. I think that the tone is so energetic and fresh that it is why I would pick it up. - Mom/Positive Psychology Coach
