"Ideologies" & Educational "Fashions"
There is a mantra coming from the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles to the youth, young adults, and education.
It consists of 3 messages:
1) President Nelson's Identity Hierarchy
2) Keeping The Two Greatest Commandments in proper order
3) President Kimball's "Second Century" BYU Address
Here, President Oaks covers numbers 1 and 2. He talks of the "ideologies" and "fashions" of academia and how BYU may need to "break with the educational establishment" as taught by President Spencer W. Kimball.
