The Teaching and Scholarship Podcast

The Teaching and Scholarship Podcast is formerly a collaboration between The University of Southampton's Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) and The Faculty of Medicine). Its future is associated with The University of Glasgow and will continue its good work north of the border. It is intended to be of interest to all teaching focused academics in higher education who strive towards teaching excellence and wish to innovate their practice. The podcast aims to promote and raise the profile of teaching excellence within university education.

In episode 20 we chat to Neil Ford who is a Principal Teaching Fellow (Education Development) in the Business School at The University of Southampton and a member of the CHEP team. We catch up with Neil (remotely of course, since we were all in full lockdown mode at the time of recording) to talk about all things related to student partnership, co-creating resources with our students and the educational philosophy underpinning this approach. Recent work of Neil's has included the development of an online learning community, expanding the school's undergraduate peer support scheme, developing support for transition to our programmes, and improving assessment and feedback processes.
