We discuss the increasing trends and options available for women regarding oocyte cryopreservation, which has become a successful option for women who want to delay childbirth or safeguard their fertility due to medical treatment or cancer. Dr. Klipstein explains the new nomenclature of "planned oocyte preservation" and the various uses of this technology, including freezing eggs when there is no sperm available, only fertilizing a limited number of eggs to avoid an excess of embryos, and having more reproductive freedom down the road.
