Marine Mammal Science

Aug 15, 2020

This week’s guest is Dr. Laura May-Collado, who has studied whale and dolphin in several countries in Central America. Dr. May-Collado has, in particular, been working to help save a genetically distinct and imperiled population of dolphins in Bocas del Toro, Panama. After a decade and a half of scientific studies (both biological and social), this project is now a case study for conservation involving the local community.
