We’ve all experienced adversity, trauma, tragedy, and significant stress in our lives. The reason we’re able to adapt to these situations is resilience. It’s how we take our power back. It’s the difference between going through something and growing through it.
Resilience isn’t a trait possessed only by certain people, it’s something we can all develop. In fact, resilience is something we can create for ourselves. Like building any muscle, it takes practice, time, and intentionality.
Going through divorce challenges us in so many ways, but building my own resilience is what helped me realize that my divorce was a gift. Resilience is how we create the next great chapter and see that this is happening for us.
