Best-selling author and ‘The Divorce Coach’ Sara Davison is no stranger to reinventing herself after a separation.

After finding out her then-husband was setting up a new life with another partner, she faced the waves of a turbulent divorce and swore to survive it so she can help other women experiencing the same troubles.

Tune in to this episode on  5 Phases of Divorce with Sara Davison.

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️Everything passes. Just because life is bad in the moment doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way forever. Have faith in the possibility that you can turn your pain into power.

✔️Change how you react. Do you find yourself repeatedly frustrated over certain situations? Notice what you’re doing and ask yourself, “What can I do to take back my power and avoid being triggered?” You have full control over your emotions.

✔️Lower your expectations. If you have an ex that’s difficult to deal with, any other good that they do is a bonus. So whenever you’re frustrated about a recurring bad habit, like being late, take back control and plan ahead!

✔️Build your self-reliance muscles. Coming out of a toxic relationship, you may have lost the ability to trust your own instinct. Whatever your ex throws at you – from their lawyers or anyone else – let them do what they want. But don’t let it break you.

✔️ Make a breakup bucket list. Write down all the things you CAN do now that you couldn’t have done before. Did your ex hate leather trousers? Wear them! Did they stop you from painting the house with pastel shades? Now’s the time to do it!

✔️Push yourself outside your comfort zone. You’re doing just great the way you are. And all it takes is a little bit of stepping up for change to happen. It’s the small choices we make that lead to the biggest leaps forward. Enjoy the process, and test the waters. What can you do differently now?
