It didn’t work. Stealing the policeman’s helmet did not, in fact, make Bertie’s chum Sippy feel better. In fact, he’s now got 30 days in the stir. And in the meantime, Bertie must impersonate him. P.G. Wodehouse, today on The Classic Tales Podcast. Welcome to The Classic Tales Podcast. Thank you for listening. Many, many thanks to those of you who have so generously donated to Basil’s Student Residency fund. In case you haven’t heard, we recently discovered that Basil, my eldest, after four years at our local art academy, was accepted for a month-long residency to The New York Academy of Art. This is a life changing opportunity. We are so very proud of him. We’ve come up a bit short, and we need some help to get him there. We need to raise $6,000, and we are over halfway there. Thank you so much for helping him out. We’ve been blown away by the generosity of our parents, friends, family members, and especially YOU! We’ve done what we can, but things have kind of slowed down. We’re still $2,000 shy of what we need, and to get us over this final hump, I’ve cooked a little something up. I’ve recorded the fifth book in the Arsène Lupin series: The Crystal Stopper. I’ve read quite a few of these mysteries, and this one is seriously one of the best. So, here’s what I was thinking. I’m willing to give a free download of the audiobook to each and every donor who donates to Basil’s New York Student Residency Fund, once we reach our goal. So please step up and help our boy to an experience of a lifetime. You can find a link in the description for today’s podcast. And again, thank you so very much. Thank you so very much. It really wouldn’t happen without your help.
