Boundaries? What are those?! Aren't they something you
set while playing basketball, or other sports? You set them to
block the other person out right?! Or don't they relate to property
lines?
Yup! That's what I thought for quite some time ;) Boy oh boy, was I
rather surprised when I eventually learned that boundaries were
also something I could set within my relationships! EMOTIONAL
boundaries! What a concept ;) And even more surprising was how
often I had disregarded other peoples boundaries due to my being
ignorant of the concept ;)
I'm happy to say I've come a long way baby!!
These day's I relish in setting boundaries! The growth that has
taken place within, and the countless relationships that have been
saved OR ended by setting them has been well worth every bit of
time taken to become more familiar with the process and most
importantly has been the willingness gained to continue to practice
setting them :)
Join me as I share my experience with boundaries, or lack thereof,
along with sharing some examples that you can begin to implement
yourself!
It's not always comfortable to place them... Its not always easy to
accept when others place them... but both of those options are a
BAZILLION times better than continuing to live a life without them.
In my opinion anyway ;)
