We start this chapter in Gotham but not the one that this Batman grew up in. Our hero's main focus is to stop the anti-matter wave from swallowing another Earth. In a ship outside of time and space the Monitor sits and observes. A young girl is in distress in her space pod. The Monitor intervenes even though he is not supposed to. He has also been collecting heroes to help stave off the universe’s impending doom. Perhaps this Kryptonian, nearly the last of her kind, can play a role in the salvation of the universe.
