The OCR World Championships released breaking news at 8:00am this morning. OCRWC is disqualifying a 2017 participant due to "violating anti-doping policy". Ryan Woods becomes the first OCR competitor in history to be DQ'd at any obstacle race for this reason. You can read the complete OCRWC article here which includes a response statement from Ryan Woods. Ryan's 3rd place, 15k finish is off the record books for OCRWC 2017. In addition, his team had won the OCRWC Sunday team relay. That team of Woods, Ryan Atkins and Hunter McIntyre, is now also disqualified. We got a hold of both of Ryan's teammates as soon as possible. Ryan Atkins told us:
