What do we do when a friend is grieving, a family member is angry, or a coworker is anxious? Although these emotional experiences are common, many of us don’t feel like we are adequately equipped to know what to say or do to be helpful in these situations. In this worship series, “How can I help” we learn what it means to truly support our loved ones and ourselves in times of emotional stress and turmoil.

In this sermon, we delve into the topic of anxiety and how we can find strength and peace in our faith. We acknowledge that anxiety is a common struggle, but it doesn't have to overpower us. Through prayer, meditation on scripture, and leaning on our relationship with a higher power, we can find comfort and courage. We explore the importance of surrendering our worries to God, trusting in God’s plan, and seeking support from our community. Also, we learn practical tools like deep breathing, mindfulness, and understanding that it’s sometimes necessary to seek professional help. Ultimately, we are reminded that even in the midst of our anxieties, we are not alone, and there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
