We continue our summer Celebration theme this week by celebrating service. Cheryl focuses on Ephesians 4: 1-6 to illustrate what it means to serve others in our life. To serve means to give up control and accept that we are not in charge. We must instead humble ourselves and choose to put our strength in a godly direction. To serve others means we must exercise great patience and extend love and the benefit of the doubt even when we don’t always feel like it. And lastly, we must see each other as siblings in a holy family, instead of through the worldly lens of “us vs. them”. And through this practice, we pray that we might be able to bring more unity and peace to all those in this world.
