Several GP practices in Sussex are providing medical services to refugees as part of the Resettlement Scheme. As cervical screening is not offered to women in Afghanistan, Bridge Medical Centre in Crawley created an effective communications and engagement plan to inform this population group about the process and the benefits of screening, improve access to services and balance out the health inequalities that exist for Afghan women.
