📑More about David Kamara

David has been a real estate investor since buying his first investment duplex in 2006. Over the years he has transformed the portfolio from residential, single-family assets to focus on larger multi-family apartment buildings and townhome communities. David is the founder of real estate private equity firm Cape Sierra Capital and today the firm manages a portfolio of over 1,300 apartment units across the Midwest and Southeast.

Before embarking on the real estate investing journey David was a successful management consultant and highly sought after advisor to C-suite executives and private equity investors. He has held a number of interim COO and CIO roles and has been involved in over 50 private equity, corporate, and strategic transactions.

David received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has a Masters in Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. David speaks five languages, enjoys running marathons, snowboarding and playing soccer. He lives with his wife and four daughters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
