Dr Elsa Huertas Barros joins us to take a more in-depth look at what it takes to be a translator using translation competence models. We look at competences that you can probably guess, like language skills, along with others that you might not have considered, and discuss the benefits of applying these models to translation practice, both in and beyond a university setting.
