A Cultural History of Canada

May 28, 2022

In which we take a peak behind the paywall. We offer up an interview that Patrick conducted with a professor he and Mack had while at Concordia, Daniel O'Leary. Prof. O'Leary's research has focused on transnational and transatlantic Canadian genre and print culture studies, intellectual and academic culture in Canada, and the print culture of Canadian, especially Irish-Canadian, cultural communities.

We started off by talking about Don Messer's Singalong Jubilee and ended up talking about music in Canada in general.

This was a really early episode that was recorded years ago on a phone, so please go easy on the sound quality and editing!
