Gen Z – currently makes up 30 percent of the world's population and are expected to account for 27 percent of the workforce by 2025. Gen Z-ers are our future leaders and it is important for current leaders to better understand their thinking. Millennials and Gen Z sometimes get a bad rap in that there is an assumption that these generations are more lazy and have more of an entitlement attitude as compared to the older generations. As leaders, we are now hiring and training and ultimately will be entrusting these generations to lead and lead strong. Rejection, as we know, is critical in overall character development and future leadership success. So let's talk to three Gen Z-ers, who are currently in college about their mindset on rejection and overcoming life's disappointments.
