Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo,
wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health
and becoming a better person.
On this eleventh episode of the podcast, I interview Marshal Kemp.
Marshal is a BJJ brown belt under James Krause and he is a pro MMA
fighter who trains out of Glory MMA in Mountain Grove. I get to
train with Marshal a few times every week and he's one of the
toughest people I've ever gotten to train with.
On this episode, we discuss how martial arts have helped Marshal
develop over his lifetime from childhood into adulthood. We talk
about the benefits that Jiu-Jitsu and MMA training have for the
individual and our society.
Marshal emphasizes how BJJ makes a person more relaxed, humbler,
and capable of achieving their ambitions through developing a
strong mindset.
