Training in martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Judo,
wrestling, & Muay Thai is my outlet for improving my mental health
and becoming a better person.
On this twenty-first episode of the podcast, I chat with Mike
Fowler. Mike is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an academy
owner on the North Shore of Hawaii. Mike is credited as being the
3rd fastest American to achieve a black belt... Achieving this
massive goal in only 3.5 years. Known for his success as a
competitor, Mike placed 4th in the 2007 ADCC and holds wins over
some of the legends of the sport such as Renzo Gracie and Saulo
Riberio.
On this episode, Mike shares about how training in Jiu-Jitsu has
improved his mental health and his life off the mats. He discusses
why he has transitioned away from being a professional athlete and
towards an off-grid lifestyle. Mike talks about the rewards that
come from building your own home and gaining personal independence.
He explains how his martial arts training enabled him to become a
successful person who is capable of living life on his own
terms.
Mike shares about his experiences as a competitor and how they
shaped his outlook on life. We talk about the internal evolution
that he experienced during his years competing against the best in
the world.
On this episode, you will learn about how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can
serve as a catalyst for every other area of your life to
improve.
This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
