On this twenty-seventh episode of the podcast, I chat with Dr. Jen
Case. Jen is a multiple time world champion in the IBJJF, a PHD
nutrition expert, and a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu. Recently, Jen won double gold at the 2022 World Masters
championship. In addition to competing in Jiu-Jitsu at the highest
levels, Jen is a nutrition coach who works for Renaissance
Periodization. She helps combat sports athletes optimize their
health and develop a nutrition plan that works for their goals.
On this episode, Jen shares how competing in high level tournaments and winning has helped her mental health. We talk about the power of visualization and Jen shares the mental models she uses to succeed.
While going through a demanding educational career, Jen relied
on the foundation built by Jiu-Jitsu to succeed. She says that
Jiu-Jitsu gave her life a direction and a purpose. We dive into
discussing the benefits that martial arts training can have for
anyone and why it was so beneficial for Jen.
On this episode, you will learn about why nutrition is such an
important tool for a martial artist. We talk about the foods you
can eat to promote great brain health and how to succeed at
anything in life.
This is an episode you do NOT want to miss.
