The Living Intentionally Podcast

Aug 17, 2023

Experiencing college at HBCU (Historically Black College & University) expanded my horizon enabling me to experience Black Culture in a completely different perspective and this led to new ideas, lifestyles and ways of thinking.

Hampton University influenced who I grew to become in my adulthood. I am thankful for the bonds that were made while in college but also for those formed directly after. After graduating from Hampton University and moving to Atlanta, GA for training, I started my career as a Neurophysiologist in New Orleans, LA at Tulane University.

Episode 28 pays homage to my experience at Hampton and my favorite city in the US, NOLA, what it means to adopt a mindset, and how expanding your network outside your norm can greatly impact your life. Take a trip with me down memory lane as I live intentionally in New Orleans.

3:37 - “But whatever you have to do, let us push forward in doing it in an intentional way.”

10:11- “Do not underestimate what exposure can do for you.”

21:25- “People will go on group trips for a birthday celebration or something and still bring bad energy.”

38: 48- “It’s dope to think that, this is what HBCUs are doing.”
