What are hiring managers looking to hear in interviews for data analytics roles? How do you best position yourself and your experience to get hired? This panel discussion explores the topic and gathers perspectives from those who have been hiring managers for jobs in the data fields.
It was held at the Feb 2024 Data Careers Summit, and was moderated by Brandi Beals and Dustin Schimek.

Tara
Lauritsen is a results-driven data analytics leader with
over a decade of experience consulting, leading, and developing all
aspects of an end to end data life cycle. She specializes in
setting the vision, establishing a strategic plan, and implementing
that plan to build data excellence across an organization.
She brings a people-first mindset and values all the relationships
she has built in her career.

Brian describes himself as a "lifelong data
geek", having spent his entire 35-year career in business
intelligence, policy analysis and implementation, economic
consulting, litigation support, and survey research. He has
worked as a data analyst, economist/data scientist, and in multiple
executive positions leading data-related teams and projects, as
well as developing and implementing recruiting and hiring
strategies for data professionals.
