Thrive: Mental Health and the Art of Living Free

Sep 11, 2020

I'm joined today by one of my all-time favorite people, Bob Hamp. Bob and his wife Polly (who was on Episode 4) are the founders of Think Differently Live Differently Counseling, Consulting, Coaching, and Connecting.

Bob has been instrumental in my life, and I am excited about this interview. In our chat, Bob talks about the effect of shame on the brain. Also, He discusses how shame rewires the way our brain functions. So good!

We also talk about:

  • How shame keeps us from freedom
  • How Christians are vulnerable to shame traps
  • The effect of shame on the brain

Listen now:

Favorite quotes:

  1. Freedom is the ability to live life as you were created to be.
  2. . Your capacity to attach to others is dependent on your ability to attach to yourself.
  3. Shame fears disconnection. This fear results in disconnection.
