Thrive: Mental Health and the Art of Living Free

Jan 24, 2020

Are you struggling to accomplish goals? When you aren’t able to achieve an objective, you likely feel discouraged and frustrated. You may even begin feeling like a failure.

But, what if you weren’t the problem. What if it’s how you’re trying to reach these goals that is the issue.

Maybe it’s the system you’re using that needs to change.

You likely know about SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-based) goals. SMART goals are often thought of as the guide for goal-setting behaviors.

These goals often leave us feeling dumb when we can’t follow through. Christa Hutchins, author and speaker, advocates using PEACE (Purposeful, Essential, Adjustable, Current, and Enjoyable) goals instead.

In this interview, I sit down with Christa and discuss PEACE goals, how to create habits to foster PEACE goals, and what she sees as common roadblocks for implementing new practices.
