Scott Sharrard is an acclaimed American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, known for his extensive contributions to the blues, rock, and soul genres. Born on December 28, 1976, in Dearborn, Michigan, Sharrard developed a passion for music early on, influenced by legendary guitarists like Duane Allman, B.B. King, and Jimi Hendrix. He gained widespread recognition as the lead guitarist and musical director for the Gregg Allman Band from 2008 until Allman's passing in 2017, playing a crucial role in shaping the band's sound during his tenure. His work on Allman's final album, "Southern Blood," further solidified his reputation as a talented and soulful musician.
In addition to his significant role with the Gregg Allman Band, Sharrard has enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Ante Up" (2003), "Saving Grace" (2018), and "Rustbelt" (2021). His solo work showcases his prowess as a guitarist and a songwriter, blending blues, rock, and soul with a contemporary touch. In 2019, Sharrard joined the iconic rock band Little Feat, bringing his bluesy style and deep musical knowledge to the group, helping to carry on their eclectic musical legacy and energize their live performances.
