Positioned to Heal - Guest  Speaker - Prophet Tameka Robinson

So, we have been discussing positioning in the body of Christ on previous podcasts. The first position we've touched on is how God will position women for war in the workplace to stand on behalf of the Kingdom or the glory of God.

The body of Christ needs healing.

The Body of Christ is not only to be healers but to be healed. Leaders walk around wounded and scarred, physically, emotionally, and sometimes spiritually.

We often deal with traumatic situations, so we need healing when we go through these traumas.

My Guest Speaker, Tameka Robinson, a leader in the marketplace for decades and also a prophet. She has two children, a daughter and a son, and a Jack Russell Terrier Beagle.  She is a lifelong learner.

What we encounter as leaders, as prophets, as ministers while standing in our position in the workplace. The oppositions and struggles are:

To be heard. Being a prophet, we see from a different lens and angle. So it requires taking individuals out of the norm. It usually requires shaking up some things and doing things that some might consider rogue. So, there's difficulty in getting by in the marketplace, particularly if you don't have leadership that is accustomed to working, not even with a prophet necessarily, but working with someone that's seeing from a different lens.

However, the victories have been doing the work underground. Even if it meant that you were not recognized for your accomplishments, being able to have insight even before leadership, ask for different things so that in the secret place, the Lord is downloading his strategies, he's downloading.

When your leadership comes and asks for reports and answers, you already know what to do and have the answers.  We receive this from the Father.

We Have a responsibility to pray, to seek God for answers, and strategies as we are positioned in the workplace.

The Process

The type of process the Lord takes you through.

I think the process, even though I didn't even know I was going through a process, some of the things that I remember are crying even at night hours because there was no recognition of it. It was a lot of hard work, rolling up your sleeves, and perhaps teaching yourself. Oftentimes there isn’t anyone that has done what you are positioned to do before.

A lot of late nights, a lot of dreams, you know, for those of us that are dreamers. Receiving instructions in the night hour.  The Word of God talks about how He steals His instruction at night. The Lord himself will teach you.  However, it is difficult when you work for senior leaders that don’t have the knowledge even about what you do.

There's no recognition there, so there's a lot, a lot of behind this ear, behind the scenes, crying.

But you do get rewarded. God makes way for you to get rewarded for your labor.

And I mean, it wasn't about the recognition so much for me.

It was about the work that God had me doing in that workplace that was, and it was the opposition because of that work, not necessarily the work the position required, but what God positioned me there to do was the hard part.

God truly orchestrates our steps

We are in careers, we go to school, and we have degrees. We secure positions, have professions, and we do that specifically so that we can receive a certain income. So at that point, it's about money, right? Just to support ourselves and our families.

The Bible says that he gives us the ability to make wealth. He has provided a means for us as His people to work and to make an income, but I also believe that he intends for us to live in the fullness of joy.

He doesn't want us to feel downtrodden or beaten over the head. As we go through the process of doing what He has already equipped us to do, according to how He has ordered our steps.

To still allow the Holy Spirit to heal us and to make a full and to understand where that pain is coming from.

Where is that deep need for recognition coming from at the end of the day, are we really looking for our coworkers to recognize us? It really is signaling that there's something else going on that that the Lord wants to bring us to.

Through this process that the Lord has taken me through, I have been honored to be the founder of full of hope for Life ministries.

Full of hope for life was birthed out of a time when the Lord took me deeper in my walk of healing.

And I was so awestruck by the way the Lord took me by the hand and brought about this change I could not help but to want to offer it to others.

If God loves us, why do we suffer? And what is a wound of the heart?

And now that we know what it is, you know, we begin to look at how my wounds can be healed.

And to begin to look at that, grieving isn't just the loss of a person. It could be identity; It could be the loss of what could have been and what we wish things were.

So we walked through that progress, that process.

Pastors, clergy, and community leaders also want to be equipped and learn how to walk alongside others in their healing process.

Trauma. We may think that is just a part of us, but sometimes the results of traumatic experiences cause you to back away, retreat and have social issues. It’s difficult for you to step out and step up and answer the call of God in your life as a leader.

When we talk about trauma, it's critical to know that trauma disrupts, there's literally a disconnect.

And oftentimes we don't even know that we've been traumatized. We carry around the baggage, the hurt, and we normalize it. We must begin to look at some of those everyday things that we blow off. Are we shopping too much? Are we eating too much? Are we avoiding it? Are we constantly on alert? You know, are we finding that our heart is beating 1,000,000 miles per minute with anxiety or some type of other situation or similar occurrence that reminds us of a place and a time in our lives that we haven't even necessarily realized that we've not been completely healed from?

When we think about it, do we feel hopeless? Are there any areas of our lives where we literally have no vision for the future other than pain?

Leaders who heal, as well as be healed, must have a safe place for others and have a safe person and a safe place for themselves. It's not simple, but it is very sacred.

Oftentimes, especially in the church, if you have an issue like, say for example, depression or anxiety, the church will say, well, you've got the blood of Jesus, get over it. They simplify it.

But some people, perhaps, can get over it, but others cannot.

The Bible Speaks about Trauma

The Bible talks about David. When he said that, his soul was disquieted. He was anxious.

He was in fear. He had gone through trauma, yes. He said yet, I will praise the Lord. David acknowledges that there was something disturbing his soul. So, your relationship with the Lord will bring forth healing, but it may not happen at the moment.

Trauma is all throughout the Bible. Jesus had to walk through this in the Garden of Gethsemane.  Hannah suffered trauma through barrenness. Jonah was distressed, and he wanted to die. But I think being able to bring those elements together to let everyone know that we serve a God that is not afraid of our emotions, we can bring honest emotions to God, so we walk through, which Is not always known. So we can have a safe place to lament to the Lord.

Laments

You know the Psalms are full of laments.

And these are just some ways we begin to unpack what trauma is and what trauma looks like through the healing groups. That's part of our journey of wholeness and healing.

Prayer

Father, we do thank you, and we give you praise. We thank you for every listener. We thank you, Father, that everything that each listener has gone through does not take you by surprise. But God, you are a God who sees, a God who rewards and heals. Father, I decree healing over each one's life in Jesus' name. I thank you, Lord, that they would begin to see from the lens of your spirit and your heart, Father.

That you do not intend to harm them but that you are turning all things around for their good.

So, Father, I thank you that they begin to see your goodness in their situation and begin to rejoice.

They begin to understand that you are molding them, you are bringing beauty out of ashes, and that they will be the ones that will proclaim Your goodness and will take what You allowed them to go through, Father. That they would be the ones that would bind up the broken heart and they will proclaim liberty to the captives.

So, Father, we thank you that this is their testimony.

I thank you, Lord, for the horns that you are putting in their mouths today, God.

They will begin to declare your Word. Your word will be established everywhere that they go.

They will know that there is nothing that You will waste out of their situation because you've known about it even before they entered into this world.

Father, we thank You.

We give You great praise.

We give You glory.

And it is this that we say thank You, Jesus.

In Jesus name, Amen.
