More than 20 years ago the Blair Witch Project premiered and changed the face of horror film making, but before that there were filmmakers in Florida, sly marketing, and rumors of a witch in Pemberton Ferry.
With a movie that relied on blurring the lines of what was real and what was fake, it’s tough to figure out just what might be folklore and what might be straight fiction. Before his Lee County event of a special showing of the movie with Director Daniel Myrick, Christopher Balzano looks at the lore of the film, it’s impact on legends and movies, and the case that may have inspired it all.
It’s This Town is Myth meets Movie Night. Everyone seems to have their own story of the movie, so call in to share the impact of the Project at (813) 418-6822.
