Episode 48 - Working Memory and Dyslexia

"I knew what she asked me, but my brain was still processing so I made the answer up!"

I think everyone with dyslexia knows how this feels. When you're asked a question, sometimes even a very simple strightforward question, and it takes time for your brain to porcess what was asked and what your response should be.

In this epiosde, I tell you a story of when this happened to me very recently and what I did to overcome some of the negative feelings associated with this dyslexic challenge.

The key to navigating challenges with working memory is to first build confidence and not to judge yourself.

Key topics:

  • Understanding what working memory is,
  • Understanding how dyslexia affects working memory,
  • What happened when this happened to me recently, and
  • What you can do when this happens to you!
