The Top Producers Show

May 9, 2023

Welcome to the latest episode of the Top Producer Podcast! In this episode, join host Paul Neal as he sits down with Alison Sakimura, a real estate agent who has been helping clients for years. Alison is passionate about building relationships with her clients and providing them with the best service possible.

In this interview, Alison shares insights into her approach to real estate, as well as some of her experiences in the field. One of the main themes of the conversation was Alison's commitment to giving back to her community. She explains how she enjoys supporting local restaurants and making contributions to companies that support the community. She also shares a story about how she donated her old car to a family in need for just one dollar, passing on what she's been provided for and wanting her children to also see acts of service.

Alison speaks about how it's important for individuals to be involved in their community where they live. She has served on various boards in her community, including the homeowners association, PTSA, and Williamsburg Association of Realtors. Currently, she is part of the Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Lead board and is working on a project to connect the community by placing turquoise-colored picnic tables in various locations throughout the community.

During the interview, Alison also shares her insights about working with clients in real estate. She says that building relationships with clients is key, and she has hosted client parties and even set up a "blind couple's date" to connect clients. She stays in touch with clients, and their willingness to refer her name to others is a “blessing."

Alison also emphasizes the importance of being compassionate when working with clients, particularly when helping widows who are downsizing their homes. She has experience meeting with them and providing support and guidance, having experienced loss herself. She understands that the process of downsizing can be overwhelming, including finding a new home, cleaning out the old one, and involving children.

Finally, Alison and Paul discuss some of the challenges and rewards of the real estate market. Alison shares a story about a chaotic and competitive market in which her clients were "beaten out" on offers. Despite this, the transaction moved forward, and the clients were able to rent out their previous property and find a new one with a better floor plan and no commission to pay.

So join Paul and Alison for this insightful conversation about real estate, community involvement, and the importance of building relationships with clients. Tune in now!
