The Merely Players, a community based theatre company in Durango, Colorado has had a very busy spring! They’ve put on three productions just since the beginning of 2023. The Merely Players was founded by Mona Wood-Patterson and Charles Ford in 1994 and has been bringing outstanding shows to the community ever since. In this Interview I spoke with Melanie McLean and Stephen Bowers who are two of the actors in the play “The Life Span of a Fact”, a true story based on a book written by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal. The story centers around how accurate the fact checking should be for a magazine essay. This causes disagreements and drama which is performed brilliantly by the three person cast.
