Make It Plain Podcast

Sep 8, 2023

Kehinde Andrews talks with Wesley Lowrey at a live event earlier this year about his arrest while covering protests in Ferguson, Missouri, and about his new book American Whitelash. A book about the rise in racial violence in the decade following the election of the US' first Black president.

Wesley Lowery is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, reporter, editor, and best-selling author known for his written audio, and on-camera work. He has served as a national correspondent for the Washington Post and an on-air correspondent for CBS News and 60 Minutes. His first book “They Can’t Kill Us All” published right after Trump’s election, chronicles his experience covering the protest movement that emerged following the death of Oscar Grant, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, and Michael Brown.
