Do you find yourself always trying to be happy? When we tell ourselves we should be happy (and we’re not) it actually makes us so unhappy. What happens when we stop resisting the part of life that is hard, we suddenly feel so much better. It’s so ironic. Thinking we should be happy makes us sad, and telling ourselves it’s ok to be sad allows for less sadness. I wish I could insert a mind blowing emoji right here.
