Happy Anniversary! March 9, 2019 is the 10-year anniversary of the official end of the Great Recession. The stock market hit its all-time-low on that day after falling 56% from its peak in October 2007. On average, bear markets happen every three and a half years. We’ve not had a bear market in 10 years now.
