The term ’fake news’ was created by the mainstream media establishment to stifle and silence dissenting opinion at odds with their business models and editorial directives. But it has seriously "boomeranged back and hit them on the head," says guest host Patrick Henningsen on Monday’s UK Column News. These same MSM outlets are the biggest purveyors of ‘fake news’ by constantly pushing their war propaganda. The public, and even the President, are justified in calling them to account. One such outlet is The New York Times. Henningsen and UKC host Mike Robinson take a look at NYT’s new publisher, A.G. Sulzberger. Sulzberger, 37, confirmed that he met with President Trump in late July at the White House. After Trump put the meeting ‘on the record’ by tweeting about it recently, the young news head revealed what he told Trump: “I told the president directly that I thought that his language was not just divisive but increasingly dangerous.” Henningsen puts the publisher's statement into perspective: “The propaganda produced by the young Sulzberger’s New York Times has caused and promoted violence against thousands if not millions of people in the Middle East…as an oracle of war propaganda.” We also learn the purge of newsrooms continues across the US and UK, adds Robinson, and the NYT and other MSM outlets have a lot to answer for. |
