Lipi Roy MD is nationally recognized as an influencer in the field of addiction. She is also a clinical assistant professor at the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Roy previously served as the first Chief of Addiction Medicine at NYC jails including Rikers Island where she coordinated substance use treatment and recovery efforts at the nation’s second-largest jail. Previously, she was a primary care doctor to Boston's vulnerable homeless population. She was also an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Roy completed her medical degree and Master’s in Public Health degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, followed by residency training at Duke University Medical Center. She has served the underserved in Nicaragua and India, as well as New Orleans residents affected by Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Roy has also provided medical relief to earthquake victims in Haiti, and volunteered in the medical tent at the Boston Marathon.When Dr. Roy isn’t seeing patients, teaching or speaking, she can be found cooking and baking, watching movies and standup comedy, cardio-kickboxing and traveling. and Essence Live. In 2017, Kerry was crowned the winner
of the Caroline’s
on Broadway Comedy Madness Competition. Beating out 63 comedians, she was also the
first woman to win! Kerry
has performed stand up at the New York Comedy Festival, The Women In Comedy
Festival, The Brooklyn Comedy Festival, and Eugene Mirman Comedy
Festival. She has also
been a guest co-host on The Young Turks,and she co-hosted Wake Up! w/
Taylor (Sirius
XM) multiple times.
Mia Jackson is Georgia native, now living in New York. To her credit, Creative Loafing in Atlanta listed her as one of their “20 People to Watch” for 2016 and in 2017 they named her the Critic’s Choice Best Stand Up Comedian in Atlanta. She spent the last year on tour with Amy Schumer and filmed her half hour comedy special for Comedy Central in New Orleans, which is set to air in Fall 2019.
