- Consider using a grayish beige paint like Benjamin Moore's
Pale Oak to maintain a bright and cohesive look in a space with
significant natural wood elements.
- Avoid creating a tile "carpet" under the kitchen island and
instead use wood flooring throughout to maintain visual unity and
make the space look larger.

without sacrificing much light.
