It was no simple affair to get their schedules to line up - but it was worth it for Another Simple Favor! All three Legendary Ladies are back at it to review the Amazon Prime's buzzing film starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. Amy, Kat, and Morgan dive into the film and find that they have different opinions on the film…which might have something to do with the fact that one of them *cough* Amy *cough* hadn’t seen the original. Can you still enjoy Another Simple Favor without the first Favor? Is there too much camp in Capri, or is the campiness the vermouth for a perfect martini? Does the [perceived] drama between Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively seep into the film? All this and more (including a display of the host hats, and a history lesson for Kat about a completely irrelevant period of time) on this newest episode of the Legendary Ladies Podcast!

Queer romance in the time of AI? Kat and Morgan tackle the gayest episode of the recently released Black Mirror Season 7 in this duo episode. We chat about what worked and what didn't in Hotel Reverie, starring Issa Rae, Awkwafina, and Emma Corrin. We discuss whether this unconventional love story worked for us or if it was a bit too rushed. We also compare it to Black Mirror's beloved queer love story, San Junipero. Would we check back into Hotel Reverie? Listen and find out!
What did you think of Hotel Reverie? Was it as good as San Junipero? Comment below!

On this week's The Legendary Ladies Podcast, Amy and Morgan eagerly sat down to watch Bong Joon Ho's film, Mickey 17. But...did they just as eagerly sit down to discuss it? Unfortunately, that wasn't necessarily the case as the hosts work to break down why Mickey 17 didn't just do it for them. They discussed the overwhelming amount of social commentary -- not in its essential nature, or even its essence -- but in the sheer number of bullet points. While it fits the commentary on a world (*cough* currently *cough*) oversaturated with social and political challenges, when introduced congruently with the new and unique technology that is the cornerstone of Mickey 17's titular plot point, did the bloated nature of the film's various storylines detract from the one we might have been most interested in?
And, without getting too far ahead of ourselves, can we ask...what was Kai there for? No, seriously, we're asking.
All in all, the hosts sit down for a rather unexpectedly productive discussion as they try to figure out if Robert Pattinson's superb acting was enough to keep their interest during the [over] 2 hour film.

Top Chef Season 22- How Important is Editing in Reality TV?
#TopChefSeason22 #Canada #realityTV #Cooking
Kat and Morgan talk about one of their favorite TV shows in this week's duo episode: Top Chef! We dive into Top Chef season 22 in Toronto, asking important questions like, "How long until they make poutine?" While talking all things Top Chef we take many detours into discussing overall reality TV, including reality competition strategy and the importance of editing. And it wouldn't be a Legendary Ladies episode unless we discussed a million other reality shows, including the Mr. Beast Games, Hell's Kitchen, Tournament of Champions, and, somehow, Love is Blind.
What do you think of the new season of Top Chef? What are your favorite reality TV shows? Comment below!

Amy and Morgan are alone this episode while Kat takes the week off…and to be honest, she probably got the better part of the deal. Why? Because she didn’t have to watch the Suits LA premiere (we’re loath to call it a pilot, as it hardly resembles one).
On this duo episode, the hosts break down and analyze the first episode of the new series that comes with the Suits name, but bears little resemblance to the clever and classy writing of the original series. Amy and Morgan chat about how difficult it was to follow along on the bloated episode, whether or not the flashbacks served any purpose, and try to understand why they felt absolutely nothing for the characters.
Should you watch Suits LA? You probably don’t really need to. But if you have, and feel like commiserating - or if you haven’t, and you just want to see our hosts disappointed (we’re not mad, just disappointed), tune in!

The Legendary Ladies are back, and thrilled to discuss the action-romance-horror film The Gorge, directed by Scott Derrickson. Starring Miles Teller and Anya Tayor-Joy, the film follows two snipers assigned to guard a massive canyon known as "The Gorge"...and keep whatever is inside it from getting out. Amy, Kat, and Morgan dive into the film and all three find they enjoyed it more than they expected. They discuss the pitfalls and challenges of a film that doesn't quite identify its genre, and chat about how it could have been modified to make it a little more clear for the audience. They also chat about the excellent cinematography, the acting, and the jump scares that make the film worth it.
The Legendary Ladies are back after their winter hiatus with a new book club interview! This week, Amy, Kat, and Morgan interview author Fiona Fenn about her new, LGBTQ+ steampunk meets fantasy adult romance book! Set in a world where the villain is the main character, The Crack at the Heart of Everything follows Orpheus who, after helping conquer the world with his childhood best friend, realizes that the world he's been responsible for making isn't all it's cracked up to be. He's also been banished. And cursed. So there's that. Oh, and did we mention, he does get some help surviving this dastardly world of his own making from an annoyingly charming and irksomely handsome fellow who Orpheus may or may not be developing feelings for? Needless to say, things are getting complicated.
The author, Fiona Fenn, chats with our Legendary Hosts about everything from the publishing process, world building, LGBTQ+ representation in the world of adult fantasy, and where or not the publishing world is changing as self-publishing seems to have hit its stride in the last few years.
