Gary Mancuso yearned to travel ever since he was a boy.

Then, the summer before his senior year in high school, he left his family home in Ohio and drove to California.  Arriving in Los Angeles with four dollars in his pocket, he slept on the beach for a spell until he got his footing.

When he wasn't off wondering somewhere he studies economics, communications and political science and got a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Before setting off on the journey that became the subject of his book, Gary headed business development in the trading room of a large regional bank.  Along with his passion for travel, he is an avid trekker, swimmer, scuba diver, environmentalist, and private pilot.

Gary is just one of the extraordinary guests featured on The One Way Ticket Show.

In the podcast, Host Steven Shalowitz explores with his guests where they'd go if given a one way ticket, no coming back!  Destinations may be in the past, present, future, real, imaginary or a state of mind.

Several of Steven's guests have included:  Legendary Talk Show Host, Dick Cavett; CNN's Richard Quest & Bill Weir; Journalist-Humorist-Actor Mo Rocca (CBS Sunday Morning & The Cooking Channel's "My Grandmother's Ravioli"); Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; as well as leading photographers, artists, writers and more.

Larry does in-depth stories about history, science, religion and more. In 1996, he travelled to Asia to do a multi-part series on the culture of Hong Kong and the transition to Chinese sovereignty. His daily feature, “Larry’s World,” takes a look at the offbeat, fun and sometimes lesser known facts behind various pop culture phenomena and television news-making itself.

Larry has been recognized for his achievements in broadcasting. Four of his nine Emmy Awards have been for Best Anchor. The Illinois Broadcasters Association also honored Larry with nine Silver Dome awards for Best Anchor in Chicago.

When the show expanded in 2013, she extended her duties again to cover the 6-10 am hours. In addition to anchoring, Robin enjoys reporting on stories unique to Chicago and the South Side.

Prior to joining WGN-TV, Robin worked at Shadow Broadcast Services in Chicago. During that time, she worked as a traffic, news and sports reporter for WLUP Radio’s Jonathon Brandmeier Show.
