Bobbie Lloyd is Chief Baking Officer at Magnolia Bakery, where she has played an integral role in expanding the bakery from its original location in New York City's West Village to its multiple locations across cities around the world.
She brings the handmade essence of Magnolia Bakery to customers through the creation and development of new recipes and the perfection of old favorites.
Born in the Chicago area, Bobbie began her epicurean journey at eight with her first cooking class. She cultivated this interest through her formal education at Chef's and Company in Boston and working in restaurants. Throughout her career, she has been involved in all aspects of the restaurant and bakery business. She lives in New York City.
On this episode, Bobbie shares her one way ticket to the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when the food movement was just getting started in the United States. Bobbie also offers useful baking tips as featured in her deliciously enjoyable “The Magnolia Bakery Handbook: A Complete Guide for the Home Baker”. And if you ever wondered why Magnolia’s banana pudding is so irresistible, Bobbie tells you why!
