On this new broadcast of A Bowl of Soul, we are celebrating legendary R&B vocal group, Blue Magic. Blue Magic is a Philadelphia-based R&B vocal group that formed in 1972. The original members included:
- Ted "Wizard" Mills: Lead vocalist
- Vernon Sawyer: Baritone/tenor
- Wendell Sawyer: Baritone
- Keith "Duke" Beaton: Tenor
- Richard Pratt: Bass
Blue Magic is known for their smooth, soulful ballads and impeccable harmonies. Their music often features lush arrangements and heartfelt lyrics, which helped define the Philadelphia soul sound of the 1970s. On A Bowl of Soul, we celebrate this legendary R&B vocal group.
