This week’s Misfit Entrepreneur is Chris Miles. Chris is known as the Cash Flow Expert and the “Anti-Financial Advisor.” He’s built a reputation challenging traditional financial advice and showing entrepreneurs how to get their money working for them today, not decades down the road.
Chris has an incredible story. Not once, but twice, he achieved financial independence where his passive income exceeded his expenses. But his journey hasn’t been without setbacks. After the last recession, he found himself with over $1 million in debt—and instead of declaring bankruptcy, he rebuilt his financial life using the same principles he now teaches others.
Today, through his company Money Ripples, Chris helps entrepreneurs and professionals create cash flow and build passive income streams. Over the past 12 years, his clients have increased their cash flow by nearly $300 million.
I’m excited to speak with about why much of the mainstream financial advice doesn’t work for entrepreneurs, how to uncover hidden cash in your business and life, and the types of investments that can actually generate cash flow now.

Today, I want to talk about something that’s been circulating on X called The Dog Theory. And when I saw it, it hit me immediately because it connects directly to something I’ve believed and taught for years.
Here’s the idea: Dogs wake up every day excited to see the same people, eat the same food, and walk the same route.
And somehow… they’re happier than most humans. Think about that. Same bowl. Same house. Same walk. Same humans. And pure joy.
Meanwhile, we as entrepreneurs are constantly chasing the next upgrade. Bigger deal. Better city. Better house. Better tech stack. Better everything.
But what if happiness doesn’t come from “more”? What if it comes from “enough”?
And what if our urge to constantly change things — what I call the chaos switch — is actually sabotaging us?
Let’s break this down.

This week’s Misfit Entrepreneur is Vick Tipnes. Vick is a self-made entrepreneur, investor, author, and mentor best known as the founder and CEO of Blackstone Medical Services, one of the largest providers of home sleep testing in the United States and a company that has made the Inc. 5000 list five years in a row.
What makes Vick’s story especially compelling is where it began. At one point, he had just $78 in his bank account and was facing enormous personal challenges. From those beginnings, he rebuilt his life and went on to build multiple companies, including Tipnes Capital and Tipnes Health, growing his businesses into organizations with hundreds of employees and millions in revenue.
Along the way, he’s become known for his philosophy of building what he calls the “Maximum Life”—success not just in business, but in relationships, personal growth, and impact.
