Lance grew up in Sonoma
County, CA, a very liberal progressive area
He was in a frat house at Oregon State, then a semester
later Lance got saved
after hearing the Gospel and asking a lot of questions

College in Southern CA, a very conservative school

wife Jill after praying for that in a prayer class
Sonoma County is north San Francisco and is actually more
progressive than San Francisco. In Trump's first election
Sonoma was the only county that voted for Bernie Sanders in the
primaries
He became a college/career pastor at Santa Rosa Church in
Sonoma County. They started a ministry at the Santa Rosa
Junior College campus. Their ministry was called LOC (Life on
Campus) and had to change their name because there was already an
LOC (Lesbians on Campus)
95% of the people on campus didn't know the Gospel
Christians there are like gnarly trees on the top of
mountains, you need good roots and foundation
The tribulation will come for Christians but the main thing is
that we have the Lord
Tim Keller is proficient in the scriptures and he studied C.S.
Lewis
With LGBT issues, God is a designer and there's right and
wrong. Living right is doing it the way God our creator says
to do it.
The Gospel is like getting a ticket to a supermall with all
God's blessings and goodness
The Gospel is going to be an offense, so there always will be
a conflict there
Sometimes people are afraid to share the Gospel because they
think they're going to get into an argument
With Social Media, you are the market
We need to have gentleness and respect and to let our speech
filled with grace, and seasoned with salt
It's easy to throw big grenades across the Facebook
page.

especially for young people
Try to look at different new sources and listen to what people
are saying
Sonoma County is one of the least churched county, only 2% go
to church
They have a group of pastors from different denominations that
meet regularly. The local government officials see them as a
united group and reaches out to them
Francis Chan is coming out with a book on unity and has
perhaps gone too far and embracing fringe ideas
You can't be faithful to Christ and have a universalist view,
you're just making up your own religion at that point
There are very few Jewish people and Muslims in Northern
California. There are a lot of Mormons and JW's.
Buddhism is the #1 religion in Sonoma County.
