12 years ago at 33 yrs old Jason was on a mountain top in life, having
everything he ever wanted, but he checked himself into a hotel
intending to kill himself because he was so lost spiritually
He got a call about a business opportunity. At a meeting
the next day the man asked him if he knew Jesus
Jason had been asked this
before, but this man shared Bible scriptures that were deeply
profound to Jason
The man wrote down the verses and Jason looked at them later that night and
for the first time felt like he was reading truth
He went to buy his first Bible and started reading it, he
sometimes cried and felt like God was there
Jason felt his heart felt
exploding for God in the way it would for a girl
His first 5 years knowing the Lord he was sometimes frustrated
because he hadn't lead someone to God the way he had been lead to
God
Jason and his wife moved
and started at a new church. The executive pastor took him to
coffee repeatedly and cared about Jason
Jason learned that it's not
about having an agenda to fix or help a person, but to feel first
inside of himself a real care and love for that person
His Pastor would say that there should always be one or two
people in your life that you're discipling
Jason cares deeply about
everyone who works for him including the details about their
lives
Because he spent his first 33 years as a borderline
atheist, Jason feels very
comfortable connecting with unbelievers
A great way to begin a discussion, especially if you plan to
give any advice, is to admit that you can't get by one day without
sinning and to share your failures
God has no measuring stick for sin, it's either sin or it's
not
Whether you're a Pastor of a church or a plumber, whatever you
are, God views zero difference in your ministry
Love people when you're working, honor them
Jason talks about God in
basically every meeting he has
God wastes nothing no matter what you're doing at your
work
God parted a Red Sea and He will part a Red Sea for you if you
walk away from something bad
You're not going to always like everything you do at your
job
God sometimes raises people up to make an example of them
Sometimes God will give someone a toy so they realize they will
never be satisfied
