This week I am speaking with my dear friend and colleague Susan Lahey. Susan is a freelance writer who has worked with me on all three of the Repurpose Your Career books. I had Susan originally on the podcast in episode 54 and then did an encore episode with an update in episode 122. Susan took you on her journey on how she went from a journalist to being a freelance writer. This is a much more difficult transition than you might think.
In 2019, Susan decided to move her freelance writing business to Port Portugal after all three of her children had graduated from college. I wanted Susan to take you on her journey of both becoming an expat and setting up her business in Europe.

This week I am speaking with Pierre Fricke who is a member of the Career Pivot membership community. I actually worked with Pierre back in the 1990s when both of us were at IBM. Pierre has an encore career that goes back to his childhood, buying and selling vintage money. His website is BuyVintageMoney.com. I want you to hear his story because he saw ageism occurring when he himself was still young. He cultivated this business on the side for decades.
You will hear that he has a real passion for this area and he can continue to do this for as long as he likes. I specifically want some of my younger listeners to take note of this episode.

This week I have a real joy for you as I am interviewing Queen Michele. Queen is in her late 50s and is an African American retired school teacher who moved to the North Shore of Lake Chapala Mexico in 2018. She lives on a $1,100 monthly teacher pension.
I interviewed Queen in episode 119 in March of 2019 after she published her book Considerations: A Guide For Moving Abroad. I am bringing back her back as she has several more entrepreneurial endeavors to tell you about.
During our interview her dog Quincy interrupted us, and I left that in the episode as he is a big part of Queen’s life.
Queen is an incredibly resilient and energetic woman that I hope will inspire you.
