Description:

This week I have a very different kind of episode. I am talking with Sal Hanna who is a recruiter for the Milton Hershey School.

Let me read you’re a snippet from their website:

Milton Hershey School is a cost-free, private school for boys and girls in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Milton and Catherine Hershey founded the school in 1909 with money they earned from the chocolate company. Since then, the lives of more than 10,000 children from working-class families with lower income have been transformed through high-quality education and structured home life.

As some of my long-time listeners know I took time out of my career to teach high school math at an inner-city high school in Austin Texas. I did this in my late 40s and I was often approached by people saying they wanted to do what I was doing when they retired.

Sal does not recruit teachers but he does for house parents. I want you to listen to our discussion and let me know your thoughts.
