Aki is a founder of Cosmopolitan mind coach and she currently lives in Paris, France. She is coaching Japanese women on mindset and power of action taking. When Aki was working in Japan, she did enjoy what she was doing; however, she had started feeling the unhealthy work/life style from working overtime and weekends. Once she realized that she needs to take in charge of her life, and she decided to go to England to study Psychology. This experience was her turning point! After visiting to France, she knew this is where she want to re-start and re-establish her life. After becoming a mom of two, she also decided to become an entrepreneur and start her coaching business. She had helped over 800 women around the globe and she is continuously helping women to have the life she loves.

Today’s Featured Global Woman: Ms. Sumie Yamakawa
Sumie was born and raised in a small town in Aichi, Japan. Sumie came to Canada when she was 17 years old as an exchange student and she fell in love with this country! After she graduated from a college, she has started working in a wine industry. She worked at a small winery at her first career and after 2 years of working with this winery, she got an opportunity to work with a mid-sized family owned winery where her real career experience begun. She was in charge of all the Asian tourist groups(i.e. Getting contract to bring groups to the winery, creating unique program, booking groups etc) After few years, she realized that there is a limitation to her career if she worked for a family owned business and the only skill she had was that she speaks Japanese. That’s when she decided to take sommelier program. During the sommelier course, she met her future colleague who helped her to move on to the biggest and most internationally known winery in Canada. She was still taking sommelier course when this great opportunity came and she decided to take it. After she working for 6 years with various positions, she finally got promoted to an Estate Manager at the winery.

Today’s Featured Global Woman: Ms. Manami Nakayama
Manami Nakayama currently serves as the Executive Director for the San Diego Japanese Community Center where she is responsible for overseeing the administration of all the programs and services and the creation and management of projects which promote community engagement and collaborative efforts between other Japanese organizations.
She was born in Japan and came to the US when she was 10 months old and grew up in San Jose as a first generation Japanese-American. Fluent in Japanese and English, Manami has more than 15 years of community service experience in the Japanese communities of both San Jose and San Diego.
She currently serves on the San Diego-Yokohama Sister City Society Board of Directors as the Community Engagement Director, and serving as a committee member for the Community Engagement Committee of the Mingei Museum, Madoka Entertainment, and San Diego Nikkei Network. She also volunteers in various local community events where she is a planning committee member of the Asian Cultural Festival, San Diego Night Market, and the San Diego Ramen Festival.

Noriko Kalember is a founder of True North Life Coaching. When Noriko was 19 years old, she decided to visit Australia for 2 weeks and it has been 14 years since then. She has lived in Perth and Brisbane. She has been happily married to her husband for 7 years and she has a beautiful daughter. Not only Noriko is a mother, she is also a successful career woman. (high hive to working mom friend!) She has been working as a Human Resources information System business consultant and she’s reached to her six figure income! Noriko also wanted to start her own business and she is in her coaching business for 2 years now.

Chika Nakagawa is a Global Business Consultant who helps to turn our curiosity and learning into a profit and helps creating the life style around what we love to do. Chika can speak Japanese, English, German and Chinese! She made her path to move out of Japan and is currently living in Germany. Chika holds various certifications such as teaching, IFPA International Professional Aroma therapist, TOEIC scored 830, German Language B2, Chinese Language HSK6 and more. Chika is very active and she takes actionable steps to achieve what she wants to do in the world.

Today’s Featured Global Woman: Ms. Akari Kawamura
Akari Kawamura is a poet who writes amazing and beautiful poems. She is originally from Aichi, Japan. She had lived in US for 5 years, Australia and New Zealand for a home stay program. Akari also went to a language program at San Diego State University in California for one year. After coming back to Japan, she has been writing poems for self-help and self- development. In summer of 2016, she’s gotten an opportunity to publish her first English poem on Amazon. She had faced so many challenges with this publishing process because she was working with people in US and "of course" to using English. She is in the final process of releasing her poem to the world!
At the end of the interview we have a really special present for you. Akari shared one of her beautiful poems and it is just perfect for this season.

Kana Kubota is a wellness and empowerment coach who is an expert on yoga & meditation instruction, health & self-care advising and healthy lifestyle & eating habits. She empowers many women by focusing on affirmation and chakra. She grew up in Fukuoka, Japan and came to US in 1987 as a graduate student for a summer course. She went back to Japan after completing the program and came right back again with a job opportunity. She currently lives in Manhattan, New York. Kana is certified in teaching music, English, Japanese, Yoga instructor, plant based whole food diet and special training for teaching yoga for trauma-sensitive population. She is also a Reiki master. Kana holds a degree in Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Alex Satomi Keely is a love coach for Japanese women who wish for an international marriage. Also known as “konkatsu coach”. She is also a life coaching which is combined with EFT and holistic healing techniques. Her nickname Alex was adopted 10 years ago to make her life easy living in the US since people often pronounce or forget her name. She is originally from Osaka, Japan and moved to Los Angeles, California back in 1990 with her dream to become a musician. Alex Satomi had lived in various cities, states and countries such as LA, S.F., NY City, and Poland. She now lives in the UK since 2013 with her husband and her kitty.
Today Alex Satomi is a successful certified life coach and she helps local women who are struggling to live the life they desire due to complex issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety, weight issues and she is also helping many Japanese women to achieve their dream to marry a Western man.

Today’s Featured Global Woman: Ms. Sagiri Ochi
Sagiri Ochi is a certified coach who teaches why self-esteem is important and she helps building self-esteem for Japanese women. Sagiri became a coach because of her personal experience where she struggled with her own self-esteem. While she was facing with her challenges, she had an “a-aha moment” and she decided to become a coach and she now specialized as a Self –Esteem coach. She has been in Barcelona, Spain for over 10 years and she is a trilingual who speaks, Japanese, Spanish and English.
